Hamza Andreas Tzortzis is an international public speaker and a writer. Hamza presents "Face the Faith" on Islam Channel and is a senior researcher and lecturer for iERA. He has debated prominent intellectuals and academics. Some of his interlocutors include the leading humanist Peter Cave, the editor of the Philosophy Now mazagine Rick Lewis and the highly acclaimed Professor Simon Blackburn. More recently Hamza debated one of the leading American atheists and secular activists Dr. Ed Buckner.
"Dawkins’ also rejects a supernatural designer because he thinks, as an explanation, it lack explanatory power; in other words, no advance is made. He raises this objection because he feels that a supernatural designer is just as complex as design. However Dawkins’ objection is problematic as he assumes that a supernatural designer is as complex as the universe. But a supernatural designer, in other words God, is one of the simplest concepts understood by all. This opinion is expressed by many Philosophers including the famous atheist turned theist Professor Anthony Flew." Click here to read more.

It starts from 10:45, and you can view the rest of it on the other parts>
Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, wanna say a major Jazaka'Allah khair for all of your works Bro. Hamza! Masha'Allah you're doing well to present Islam to the masses. May Allah preserve you && grant you JannatulFirdaws. 'Ameen.
On the topic of Atheism, would you ever debate Pat Condell, is it possible?
Salam ,
I really enjoyed this talk, could have lasted much longer if Asr prayer wasn't due.
Jazak'allah for coming to aston, we all enjoyed it and discussed it for days afterwards.
Barak allah fiqh brother hamza. Amazing video. Heated debate :) but loved the points you made. Too bad so few people watch. Anyways, I really loved that hadith that you mentioned about, something like, don't weigh your evidence disproportionally. Keep up the good work. I'll keep you in my dua inshallah.
salam
This presentation brought a smile to my face as I watched the arguments being presented. As a born Muslim with a logician's brain, I had and still have the tendency to question everything on logical grounds & critical thinking. Your arguments echo pretty much everything that I constructed in my mind through contemplation about the nature of universe and existence. The 'uncause' principle & an 'immaterial creator' come first to my mind...none of the terminology stuff obviously, as I just reasoned through the whole thing w/o having a philosophical background. This was back in my early 20s. I was sure that there was a Creator and, yes, Islam seemed to be the best option, but to untangle the mental knots took a while. That came much later when I took classes on the linguistic perfection of the Quran...the time lapse more due to laziness and lack of knowledge than anything else.
It always strikes me as wonderous as to how atheists convince themselves of their arguments. Kudos to you for having the patience to explain it to those people! May Allah reward you for your effort, bro.
jazak Allah khair brother Hamza
I want to ask you something
is it hard for you to translate the videos of Dawah into other languages?
we really need it to be translated
i learn so much from you thank you so much BUT a lot of my friends for example can't understand English , i want them to hear these lectuers of you .
can you make a team of people working especially on translating from English to all the possible famous languages ?
* something else i want to say , can we - the people far away from UK - have videos to learn how to do Dawah i mean all your lessons with IERA can you put it on one place to watch + translation if possible
I want to learn how to talk with the others and start to talk with them to understand them & to make myself clear and explain Islam to them
but i don't know how i'm so confused I want to share what i learnd with everyone i know :(
I'm sorry for making my comment so long
Jazakallah for such a wonderful presentation. Bro, can you please write something about Greek logic and Mutakalemeen or give a presentation on this topic?
Best regards and keep up the excellent work.

As-salaamu 'alaikum, Jazakallahu khair for uploadin the lecture of yours !!
I wish to have better understandin of your lessons and have the basic concepts absorbed into my bones. But there are technical terms which I don't understand, would you recommend the dictionary for words that end on -ist, -ly, and all the words that have -ism ??
I wish and beseech Allah, subhanahu wa ta 'ala, you hold debate with prof stephen hawkin ...it's good fun to see the ridiculous scientists bein defeated by you with their out of space ideas !!
Salam...some humble doubts:I didn't quite get how causality explains/proves the concept of a priori. I got those examples you gave, but I'm having a hard time trying to relate them to the actual concept.
And in those examples,of the house and our capability to order our perception, the man running; i fail to grasp it's connection with 'causality'.
Please clarify.
Jazakallah Khair
Assalamulaikum,
Excellent presentation brother Hamza. I think all of the readers may find this presentation of the "foundation of the Islamic religion" (i.e. a presentation of the major arguments for Islam) to be of great use:
http://sunnianswers.wordpress.com/2008/05/19/the-foundations-of-the-religion/
It is by a Muslim scholar by the name Shaykh Abu Adam (may Allah reward him abundantly). He's a brilliant thinker, and logician.
You know the infinite point... I was just thinking to myself, I thought of a way to present it: if the universe was eternal/infinite, it would take an infinite amount of time to get here, which means we would never actually get here.
Dear Hamza, may Allah reward you for your excellent work in bringing a greater understanding towards our beloved religion (amin).
I’ve just recently watched your video part 8 about “Atheism”. If I am allowed to make a suggestion, it would be best to emphasize on the concept of sincerity in particular with regard to answering a question from the audience @10:25. Just like you said, God is omnipotent and that He can choose not to prevent someone from committing a crime in the future. In this video although you practically had answered the questioner’s question with the concept of “God’s Knowledge (K)” he still kept asking you with further questions. I think he did that cuz he was confused as to why a god that is most merciful and powerful would not stop something evil from happening. Brother, I think sincerity is the answer and I feel he would have been able to understand your explanation better about God’s decision to change or not to change someone’s destiny if you were to combine the concept of God’s knowledge with His knowledge about someone’s heart (sincerity). (Allahu Alim)
