Mashallah excellent debate brother Hamza. It is a shame that Peter Cave 'caved' into the classical atheist rhetoric and just pointed fingers at you and resorted to emotional arguments about Islamic law and its social justice. He did NOT respond directly to ANY of your arguments using solid evidences - what a shame! The best part was when you asked him, where did his morality stem from - 'evolution' or 'social pressure' or 'God' he did not answer. Obviously it would have to be evolution for him. The question I would THEN ask is - If you lived before the Darwinian era - what would you have believed in???
My suckerpunch would be truth never changes - people always believed in God and used 'common sense' and rationality to prove his His existence. Whereas, the fallacy and flasehood of Atheism tries to find a 'theory of the day' to prove their irrationality , which is always changing from one 'discovery' to the next!

Mashallah Hamza, a good talk on your part- without being bias, I did not see anything positive from Mr Cave, it was usual rhetoric. He did not cover your points and logical explanation but instead used the same old cliches on religion!

Well done and may Allah preserve you and protect you.

i was at the talk itself and noticed this, but i watched the video again - this time in silence without sound - and noticed it again; that his (Cave's) physical appearence, body language, movements while you were talking, and everything physical (non verbal communication) about him towards what you were saying in a calm/cool composed manner showed him to appear completely uncomfortable and frustrated and annoyed and angry. He looks visably uncomfortable with his to-ing and thro-ing and huffing and puffing while you were talking and shows him physically giving the game away wrt to your arguments . i.e. he just couldnt take it and refuses to believe in the truth of what you said/were saying. His body language is full of hate in my eyes, and its a far cry from what his lips say when he claims quite often "well, i dont know what to make of that .." (to try to give the impression being self controlled, disinterested, non-passionate and "above" about what you said and claimed. on the contrary his body and face language says the total opposite and i wonder how he could have sleapt that night ... mmm... perhaps i know now why he was constantly refering to liquor).

Assalaamu alaykum brother Hamza,
I was wondering, how about having a PART 2 to some of your debates. It will give the opportunity for both sides to reflect and provide their defence, counter-arguments and evidences to refute any un-finsihed business from PART1.

I have also noticed that in nearly all your debates, your 'opponents' do not cite sources and evidences which back up their claims, unlike yourself. They need to be pressed into providing references instead of rhetoric, emotional knee-jerk reactions or exposing Muslims' frailties in not showing the true teachings of Islaam.

Also brother Hamza, I was wondering, do you hold any private dialogues with your opponents. I think being on a public stage, no doubt some, if not most, will not want to accept the truth and evidences that overcome or even destroy their arguments/beliefs. Since pride, no doubt, will make them go on the defensive I think a private dialogue, with no audience may be very fruitful in convincing them about the truth of Islaam. If they are sincere, inshallah they will have to accept the truth that you present.

May Allaah increase you (and all of us)in knowledge and wisdom, towards conveying the truth with ease.
